Stroke, also referred to as a cerebrovascular accident, stands as a significant global cause of mortality. Shockingly, someone succumbs to a stroke every 3 minutes, underlining the urgency of this condition. The treatment journey for stroke victims is often intricate and demanding, with survivors undergoing extensive rehabilitation. Those who survive a hemorrhagic stroke frequently contend with compromised health and enduring disabilities, including paralysis, partial body weakness, speech impairment, emotional irregularities, memory issues, and vision impairments.
Alarmingly, strokes are increasingly affecting younger individuals, with a surge in hospitalizations among the youth. While strokes historically impacted individuals aged 50-60, a noticeable shift towards younger patients—ranging from 40-45 years old to even 20-30 years old—is evident.
Engaging in stroke screening serves as a proactive strategy to safeguard personal well-being, facilitating the early identification of risk factors for improvement, timely interventions, and the reduction of stroke risks.
